Membership
Join Ohio's most respected trophy deer organization. Your membership supports youth outdoor programs, wildlife conservation scholarships, our annual banquet, scoring events, and the stewardship of Ohio's whitetail heritage.
Welcome to the BBBC
The Buckeye Big Buck Club has recognized exceptional Ohio whitetails since 1957. Membership is how hunters connect to fair-chase scoring, the official record book, and a statewide community that values tradition, conservation, and sportsmanship.
1
Membership eligibility
Any hunter who has legally taken a free range Ohio whitetail deer in fair chase, after 1942, that scores at least 140 inches Typical or 160 inches Non-Typical is eligible. The Boone & Crockett scoring system is used for all deer being measured for the BBBC. The hunter may not be eligible if they have been convicted of a deer hunting violation.
2

Plan your scoring visit
After the mandatory 60 day drying period, you may have your buck measured by an official BBBC scorer. There is no fee to have your buck scored. Scoring is a free service of the club. Official scorers are located across all 88 Ohio counties — use Find a Scorer to locate someone near you. Be sure to bring your game check confirmation number, date and county of harvest.
4
Become a new member
First-time membership will be offered when your deer is measured and meets the scoring requirements of the club. First-time members pay $35 for the initial year. $30 is the entry fee and $5 is for annual dues. That purchase establishes your membership with the club.
5
Lifetime membership
Both first-time members and existing members have the option to purchase a lifetime membership in the club for $120. Lifetime members do not pay annual dues and any future qualifying deer are entered at no cost. Purchase lifetime membership here.
6
Renew each year
After your first year, keep your membership current with a $5 annual renewal. The renewal maintains record book eligibility, banquet invitation, and all active-member benefits. Renew membership here.
